Full Governing Board

Chair: Mr Philip White

The Full Governing Body has a strategic leadership role that includes: • setting the school’s vision, ethos and strategic direction;

holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance, safety and welfare of the school and its pupils and staff;

overseeing the school improvement plan;

review the financial performance of the school to make sure its money is well spent.

Pupils Disciplinary Committee

Chair: Miss Jane Reynolds (Quorum 3)

The remit of the committee is to:

consider the circumstances in which a student has been suspended and representations made by the parent and the LA as required by the School Standards and Framework Act 1998;

decide whether or not to uphold or reinstate any suspension which exceeds five days in any one term.

Performance Management Committee

Chair: Dr Julia Lawrence

Vice-Chair: Cllr Liam Dealtry and Mr Philip White

The remit of the committee is to:

set and review the performance targets of the Headteacher;

determine personnel matters in accordance with policy and procedures.

Personnel Committee

Chair: Dr Julia Lawrence

Vice-Chair: Mrs Maggie Masters

The remit of the committee is to:

determine a staffing structure and other staffing matters, recommend to the governing body a performance management policy and a staff pay policy and review staff pay in line with those policies;

consider matters of student welfare including safeguarding and make recommendations to the governing body;

Finance and Resources Committee

Chair: Mrs Natalie Blades

Vice Chair: Mr Alex Shepherd

The remit of the committee is to:

determine the school’s annual budget plan, including the staff complement;

plan the school budget in accordance with the priorities in the school improvement plan;

Health and Safety Representative

Counsellor Mike Heslop-Mullens

The remit of the committee is to:

ensure Health and Safety compliance and identify any general Health and Safety issues or concerns which may affect school pupils or employees;

audit the school’s Health & Safety policies and procedures.
