Ofsted
Bridlington School provides pupils with a well-rounded education. Leaders want all
pupils to develop a ‘passion for learning’. Pupils follow a broad curriculum. It allows
them to develop knowledge and skills for their next steps in education and work.
Reading is an important part of the school’s curriculum. Pupils who need support to
improve reading are supported effectively with regular interventions. This includes
phonics lessons. Leaders have high expectations for pupils.

“The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection. In your new role as headteacher, you have communicated,to staff and to parents your ambition to build on the school’s current success. You share governors’ determination to ensure that the school achieves excellent outcomes for all pupils. Consequently, you have raised teachers’ and pupils’expectations so that they believe all pupils can meet the aspirational targets you have set.”
