Letter from the Local Authority about partial school opening
Letter from Deborah Myers Head of Children and Young People, Education and Schools for East Riding
Bridlington School is a successful and improving school. We have a friendly, dedicated staff team and enthusiastic, respectful students. Teaching and learning is at the heart of everything we do and we are constantly striving to ensure our students not only achieve, but exceed their academic targets.
As well as working tirelessly to deliver success in examinations, we place a strong emphasis on school being enjoyable for students and staff, both in lessons and during extra-curricular time. We anticipate that, if you decide to apply for a post with us or choose to train to become a teacher with us, you will share our passion for teaching and learning and be committed to making a real difference to the lives of young people.
Working at Bridlington School is hard work, but extremely rewarding. We implement rigorous monitoring and support systems to ensure that all staff are able to fulfil their responsibilities effectively. We also believe in recognising and rewarding teachers for outstanding work. To this end we operate a Pay Policy which includes a fast-track route for teachers on main scale (M4 and M5) who can demonstrate that they are already fulfilling the Teacher Standards of Upper Pay Scale. This policy can be accessed by clicking the link on the Illuminating Information page.
If you decide to train to teach with us, you will have the amazing opportunity to join our team of outstanding practitioners. They will work exceptionally hard to support you to become an outstanding teacher yourself and, potentially, become a permanent member of our staff team.
