6th form art workshop at Studio eleven
Posted on:
Year 12 and 13 BTEC Art and Design students visited Studio Eleven, a gallery and studio in Hull. They took part in a print workshop over two days, working with Rob Moore a professional artist and print maker. Students used the professional printing presses and equipment at the gallery under the supervision of Rob Moore and Loraine Walker (a teacher at the school, who as an artist uses the print facilities at Studio Eleven). Students worked on their own etchings and collagraphs based on portraits and faces, experimenting with the amount of ink used and colour. The results were impressive and contributed hugely to the grades awarded for the print making unit.
