Brid students raise their aspirations

Today our Year 10 and Year 12 students attended the Skills Humber careers event at the Bonus Arena in Hull, which was full of interactive, inspiring and informative activities. Students met a range of prospective employers, universities and colleges, from the NHS to the University of Hull.

There were plenty of opportunities to interact and explore different career paths with the chance to find out about current vacancies available in the region. Students got stuck in with various activities, challenges and competitions, and had a go at virtual welding as well as ultrasound and keyhole surgery simulations. Students were also helped to understand nursing needs with the NHS arthritis simulation.

The event covered everything from Construction to Carpentry, to styling tips and it was great to see the massive amounts of opportunity available for students.
