Bridlington School 6th Form Results

Bridlington School 6th Form Y13 Results

We are absolutely over the moon about our 6th form examination results this year which should yet again be some of the best in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

The Headline results are as follows:
• 46% of students achieved A* and A grades
• 54% of students achieved A* to B grades
• 82% of students achieved A* to C grades
• 100% of students passed 100% of their courses.

We are particularly delighted that the average point score per student has increased from 692.50 last year to 708.83 this year – our highest ever score. We have also succeeded in maintaining the excellent performance we achieved last year in terms of the percentage of students achieving the top grades of A* and A. We are especially pleased that not a single student failed a single course for the second year in a row, a real testimony to the close monitoring and intervention that the school puts in place to ensure every student is successful. These are absolutely great results and really well deserved by all our students. A massive well done to them and to their parents/carers and the staff who have worked so hard to ensure this success.

The following students have achieved outstanding results:
• Beth Cheeseborough 1A* + 2As
• Matthew Faulkner 3 As
• Danny Wilson 3As
• Laura Fenwick 2As & 1B
• Declan McDermott 2As & 1B
• Chloe Watson 2As & 1B
• Kayleigh Singh 2As & 1B
• Connor Harrison 2As & 1B
• Jordan McGuire 2As & 1B
• Zoe Piddington 2As & 1B
• Emma Topham 2As & 1B
• Ben Wollerton 2As & 1B
• Charlie Moat 2As & 1C
• Jack Parker 2As & 1C

Bridlington School’s reputation has been growing rapidly over the last few years as we drive towards being an outstanding school. Our numbers are increasing rapidly as more and more students join the school and our sixth form. Following the huge success of our Btec Extended Diploma in Sport, we have decided to offer two additional Extended Btecs as from 2015 – one in Performing Arts and one in Art and Design. We hope our latest brilliant set of results, the broad range of academic and vocational qualifications on offer and the excellent success rate in terms of students obtaining places at good universities will inspire even more students to decide to join us in September 2015.

Students who have not yet applied and now wish to do so should phone Kathy Robson - Head of Sixth Form - on 07850 900440 or email
