Bridlington School Athletics success

Two Y7 and Y8 Bridlington teams travelled to Longcroft School in Beverley to compete in the Quad Kids Athletics competition. Up against all East Riding schools, each student competed in the following events: 100m sprint, 800m run, vortex throw and long jump.

All of our students did an incredible job, with some stand-out performances across the board. Leah Freeman threw a whopping 36.5m in the vortex throw and placed 1st in the event overall. Jasmine Mansley ran a speedy 14.5 second 100m race, making her the fastest in her team. Abi Dean ran a fantastic 800m distance run and was our highest placed athlete. In the boys' corner, Dylan Jones had a solid, all-round performance with 3m in the long jump, 21m in the vortex thrown and 15.5 seconds in the 100m sprint. James Hallet smashed the long jump and jumped the furthest in the team, as well as getting the fastest sprint time with an impressive 14 seconds.

Well done, guys - an amazing effort by all. We’ll see you at practice on Thursday!
