Bridlington School makes top 10
The latest GCSE school league tables have been released and Bridlington School made it into the top 10 in the country in Progress 8. Progress 8 is the main measure by which schools are judged and it shows how far students have improved from the start of secondary school. Overall, 42% of Bridlington students gained a Grade 5 or higher pass in English and Maths.
In the Attainment 8 score, where schools are assessed on how well pupils have performed in up to eight qualifications, which include English, Maths, Sciences, Computer Science, History, Geography and Languages, Bridlington School scored 45.7.
The 2018 Progress and Attainment measures for pupils in East Riding secondary schools were among best in the north of England and well above national and regional averages.
Kate Parker Randall, Bridlington School Head Teacher said:
“I’m so proud of all the students for their continuous hard work, we are delighted with their progress and will continue to encourage them to work harder to reach their full potential.”
