Bridlington Students Clean up the Town
As part of the weekly Sewa Pioneers club, Bridlington School students took part in a litter pick that went all the way from the school, right through to McDonalds. This was done in partnership with Brighten up Bridlington and McDonalds. The weekly club encourages students to adopt the Indian concept of Sewa – selfless service that has both increased their cultural capital and enriched their extra-curricular activities.
Students have taken great pride in serving the local community with action. The aim of initiatives such as this is to promote community-minded citizens that take their duty to their town very seriously. Our students understand that they have a social responsibility to contribute holistically to the town and that they have a duty to promote a positive image of young people in the area. The students demonstrated resilience, teamwork and compassion towards their local town.

“We’re immensely proud of the students who, every week voluntarily give their time for the betterment of others, they truly are a credit to us and those who are closest to them. It is evident that students at Bridlington School are developing a mindset towards life that work is not just the pursuit of financial gain but furthermore, it is the fulfilment of passion and purpose. Their passion for life and learning is simply inspiring.”
Well done, guys – keep up the hard work.
