Bridlington Vs Headlands Netball Report

Well played to our Year 9 Netball Team who played against the Year 9 and 10 teams at Headlands.

V Year 9 Team – Won 9-0

The whole team worked together brilliantly, with fast passes and accurate shooting to win this match 9-0. Everyone worked hard in attacking play and also defended really well to deny Headlands any scoring chances. Special mention to Leah Freeman, playing her first full match since returning from injury and Player of the Match, Skye Shippey, who was awesome all round!

Team: Leah Freeman, Skye Shippey, Jess Pye, Ava Smales, Tanaka Diwalyo, Emily Wilson, Corah Reece, Chloe Cocking. Zoe Gummerson

 V Year 10 Team – Lost 11-5

This was a difficult match against a physically strong Headlands team and a very accurate opposition Goal Shooter! However, this Year 9 team rose to the challenge, worked hard, communicated well and created scoring chances that were not wasted by Chloe Cocking and Jess Pye. Emily W, Zoe G and Corah worked hard in defence and linked really well with Leah, Ava, Skye, Chloe and Jess to keep them in the game. Lesser teams might have given up, but not this team.

Keep training girls – you are amazing! SGe
