Brilliant Minds

Twelve Y9 students are taking part in an exciting  initiative to develop the  knowledge, skills and ambition to secure places at universities and pursue future successful careers. The students  are working with PhD tutor George Stamets on a project to develop their critical thinking, communication and research skills by writing a 2000 word university style dissertation on Free Will. The students have already attended the launch of the Brilliant Minds programme at Sheffield University which is followed by six in school tutorials led by George where the students develop the knowledge and skills to complete their dissertation. They will then attend a graduation ceremony to celebrate their success and commitment to this extremely challenging but rewarding project.
