On Tuesday 17 July all of Y10 were involved in a Careers Day. 34 students were at East Riding College exploring vocational courses and the rest were in school.
The morning saw our students arrive dressed for interview. Then began an exploration of VI Form through various activities, a consideration of Higher Education with the NCOP team, and a mock interview led by NYBEP with a real life employers. The students had already filled out an application and this was discussed in the interview.
In the afternoon the students had a mini-careers fair, a brief look at apprenticeships, Scarborough Tec and the University of Coventry.
The student were commended for their appearance and attitude and we found our visitors very helpful.
