Coronavirus pandemic childcare provision

Coronavirus pandemic childcare provision at Bridlington School starting Wednesday 1st April 2020.

Venue: Bridlington School – IT2 enter from front field through doors by headteachers office.

Days of the week: Monday – Friday (not including bank holidays)

Times: Drop-off between 9am - 11am

The team at Bridlington School are here to help support the families and children of our critical key workers. We are open during normal school hours if you need us for childcare in line with the DfE guidance, when all other options have been exhausted.

The Government has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and for schools to provide childcare provision only for those children of workers critical to the COVID-19 response.

Children with a parent or carer who is listed on the government’s critical worker list are offered a school place, as long as their job cannot be done from home. To reiterate this provision is for emergencies only when all other avenues have been exhausted.

We can also provide educational provision for students who:

- have a social worker and those who are looked after by the local authority.

- are already known to the schools with an Education, Health and Care Plan - where they can't be safely cared for at home.

It would help us immensely, where possible, if you could let us know when you need a place by emailing office@bridlingtonschool.org.uk by 12 noon on the day before you require a place. This will then enable the Senior Team to ensure we can sufficiently staff the provision.

Students will be supervised in the IT suite undertaking the work set by teachers via Show my Homework.
