Cross Country Success

After performing well in the East Riding Schools Cross Country competition back in November, four of our Y7 and Y8 athletes competed in the Humber Cross Country even in Scunthorpe, along with 120 other boys their age.

Ellis Bath (Year 7) completed the 2.5K course in an excellent time, finishing 18th overall. Sadly there is not an English Schools event for his age group, but he will be one to watch in the future!

In the Year 8 Team, Alfie Scruton ran an exceptional race over the 5K distance, to finish 6th overall in the Junior Boys category (Year 8 and 9). Brodie Sedman also from Year 8,  ran a great race, to finish 11th overall, in a field of approximately 130 runners. Both of these students have qualified for the English National Schools Cross Country at Liverpool in March and the first students from Bridlington School to do so in a long time. Jayden Redshaw from Year 8 also did well to finish in 60th place overall.

Well done guys, keep up the hard work.
