Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Expeditions

Two groups of Year 10 students have just completed their Practice Expedition as part of their Expedition section of the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. This involved navigating and walking a pre-planned route, carrying all their own equipment and setting up camp for the night. They then prepared an evening meal, camped out for the night and finished the second part of the walk the following day. Although their navigational skills are still being developed, they showed great communication and teamwork throughout the weekend. One group of Year 11 students completed their Qualifying Expedition, which is the final part of their Expedition section for their Bronze Award. They showed excellent teamwork and navigational skills over the weekend and all three groups showed great resilience in dealing with extreme weather conditions
