Fabulous Christmas Celebration service at the Priory

It was standing room only at Priory Church on Tuesday 19th December for Bridlington School's annual Christmas Celebration service. The school was represented by approximately four hundred Year 7 and 8 students. Old Bridlingtonians, visitors from Red House Care Home,  family and friends of the students filled the remaining pews. All were welcomed by the Headteacher of the School, Kate Parker-Randall.

The Church looked absolutely stunning and the surroundings were matched by the beautiful singing provided by the School's gospel choir and Pop choir. The staff and students of the performing arts department did us proud once again. The service opened with Jade Inman singing beautifully, solo and unaccompanied, the first verse of "Once in Royal David's City". There followed a mixture of traditional carols and modern songs, provided by the choir, ranging from "On Holy Night" to "Happy".  These were interspersed with readings and well known carols to give the congregation chance to raise the roof!

A Christmas message was delivered by Reverend Matthew Pollard. Mince Pies and Festive treats were provided after the service by Milners and everyone left feeling uplifted by this wonderful occasion.
