Free School Meal Vouchers
The parents/carers of children who are eligible for free school meals will receive an email from the Department for Education tomorrow (Friday 3 April) with a unique code and details of how to access their weekly £15 food voucher.
Please look out for the email arriving to the email address that you’ve given to school. The email will be sent from the Department for Education (Edenred) and you may need to check your junk email folder, just in case it lands in there. If you’ve not received it by midday please email the school office at firstname.lastname@example.org ‘free school meals’ in the subject line, and we’ll do our best to help.
Once you’ve got your code, you’ll need to go to www.freeschoolmeals.co.uk and follow the instructions – enter your code and then choose which supermarket you’d like a voucher for (these include Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Waitrose and M&S food). You’ll then need to enter your email address and the voucher will be sent within 3 hours.
Please note that free school meal vouchers are only given out during term-time. You have one month to redeem the eCode – but you’ll have longer to spend the voucher (the length of time depends on which supermarket you choose). The voucher is instead of your child being given free school meals and is to be used to buy food and groceries.
The school will continue to offer Grab Bags during the Easter holidays for students that need them.
