Global School Partnership 2019

As Easter approaches, we’re getting closer and closer to completing phase two of our charity work for our sister school in Sierra Leone. After opening in 2015, the YMCA Hope School in Kenema has welcomed many students through their doors, but due to the high demand for good quality primary education, it needs to expand. With plans to build 3 new classrooms, we’ve nearly reached our fundraising target of £23, 500.

Mr and Mrs Parker-Randall have received their visas and will travel to the school during the Easter holidays. Mrs Parker- Randall said:

“I’m really looking forward to the visit, it will be great to see what a difference our fundraising efforts have made and will continue to make in the future. We will be working towards some shared learning projects, which will present some fantastic opportunities for students from both schools.”

The new classrooms will double the size of the school, allowing each year group to have a designated classroom of their own.

A special thanks to all that have donated so far, now let’s make that final push to reach our grand total.
