Important Reminder of the Past

As part of a visit organised by the Holocaust Educational Trust (HET) students from Year 8 heard testimony from Holocaust survivor, Marc Schatzberger. It was an incredible opportunity for both students and staff, to hear such an emotive account of such a terrible time in history. Marc's testimony will remain a powerful reminder of the horrors so many experienced and we are incredibly grateful to have had such a unique opportunity. We hope that by hearing Marc's testimony, it will encourage our students to learn from the lessons of the Holocaust and make a positive difference in their own lives.

After a very moving personal account, Marc and his wife Rosie had lunch with the Head Boy and Head Girl.

Marc's story is one of tremendous courage during horrific circumstances and by hearing his testimony, our students had the opportunity to learn where prejudice and racism can ultimately lead. We'd like to say a massive thanks to Marc and Rosie, and to the Holocaust Educational Trust for organising the visit.
