Lateral Flow Test for students returning to skeleton school after half-term
Many of you will know that we have rolled out rapid Covid-19 testing for school staff called “lateral flow tests.”
The use of rapid lateral flow tests allows us to identify individuals with coronavirus (COVID-19) who do not have symptoms, which make up around a third of all cases.
Lateral Flow testing, along with our other Covid-safe measures such as social distancing and facemask wearing will help us to stop the virus spreading and help to keep our school open and as safe as possible.
All students returning to school will have access to two lateral flow tests upon their return. Testing is voluntary and students can attend skeleton school as normal if parents or the student does not wish to be tested.
We are pleased to offer students attending skeleton school two lateral flow tests as they return after February half-term, one test on Monday 22nd January and one test on Tuesday 23rd January. Lateral Flow Tests are currently only available to staff and students returning from half-term to skeleton school. We do not yet have a roll-out date for the wider programme to start.
