More students with top grades than ever at Bridlington School!

Bridlington School is once again thrilled to be celebrating students’ fantastic GCSE achievements this year, with more achieving top grades than ever before.

More than 10% of Bridlington School students achieved the new GCSE Grade 9 which is higher than the old A* Grade. Headteacher, Kate Parker-Randall said, “I am incredibly proud of all our students, particularly Lauren Hambleton, Dominic Too, Rio Crossley, Archie Lambert, Emily Gall, Jake Salter and Skye Goldstein who achieved more than one Grade 9 each and Molly Green, Curtis Hacker, Phoebe Wardle, Jacob James and Ebony Bruce who achieved one Grade 9 each. These results are of course not only testimony to the hard work and dedication of the students themselves, but are also as a result of the relentless efforts of the outstanding teaching team we have here at Bridlington School.”

In addition to these exceptional performances, 36% of our Bridlington School students achieved a total of 165 top grades of 7 or higher, where 7 is equivalent to the old Grade A. Kate Parker-Randall said, “It is fantastic that our students strive for and achieve their ‘super-aspirational’ targets meaning that they can genuinely compete for places in whatever future they choose. The range of pathways is ever increasing and we work hard to ensure that the pathway is right for each individual from apprenticeships to vocational & technical qualifications and academic qualifications. To this end, I am delighted that many of our students have chosen to stay on in our very successful, competitive and growing 6th Form.”

Our GCSE results in combination with our outstanding 6th Form results are the reasons Bridlington School is oversubscribed and places are limited. Our 6th Form continues to be a popular choice for many of our own Year 11 students, as well as students from other schools, due to the unique range of A Level and Vocational courses, our personalised provision and our excellent pastoral care. For this reason, we have a limited number of places available for September. Students who have not yet applied to our 6th Form and now wish to do so should telephone Simon Pick – Head of Sixth Form on 07850900440 or email on PickS@bridlingtonschool.org.uk.
