Netball Trip To Hull

On Monday 10th February Bridlington School went to the Bonus Arena in Hull to watch the Yorkshire Jets competing against Team Northumbria.

The group, which included students from years 7-11, wanted to watch the professionals and see what it takes to achieve that level or performance.

Amid much excitement the girls travelled to Hull and upon arrival promptly had their faces painted in the Yorkshire Jets colours, bought exceptionally noisy clappers and unravelled their fantastic homemade banners.

A marshal from the event also gave them kazoos, so that they could make as much noise as possible at the game!

An exciting game commenced with the Jets taking a good lead in the first quarter; Team Northumbria came back in the second quarter though to level the scores.
With both teams level pegging in the third quarter it made for an interesting finish. Northumbria finally took the game by 2 goals in the final 2 minutes.

A great trip, to an exciting match. The girls’ can’t wait for next year, so we can go again. We even managed to get ourselves on telly, due to our awesome cheering and artistic banners!
