Positive Lateral Flow tests result in Year 12, Year 10 and Year 9 today

Today we have had positive lateral flow test results in Year 12, Year 10 and Year 9.

In line with government guidance we have had to take the precautionary measure of placing the Year 9 bubble and Year 10 bubble into self-isolation after lateral flow tests have returned a positive result. Self-isolation for all Year 9 and 10 students starts with immediate effect and lasts until midnight on Sunday 18th July.

There were no direct contacts identified in the Year 12 bubble.

This is a precautionary measure as we need a PCR test to confirm the lateral flow test result. We are required to do this by the government guidance.

  • If the PCR result is positive then the bubble will remain in self-isolation until midnight on Sunday 18th
  • If the PCR tests is negative then the bubble self-isolation can end and the school will contact students to inform them they can return to school the next day.
