Royal Shakespeare Workshop
Students from Bridlington School travelled to London in September for three days to experience theatre and art in our capital. Whilst there we worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company completing a theatre workshop
with an industry professional. Students also toured Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and the National Theatre on the South Bank. The National Theatre is a producing house with three permanent theatres and one temporary theatre that produces over 30 productions
each year. In addition all props, costume & set is created in workshops on site. The tour informed students of all other possible roles within the industry. After the tour we went to watch a National Theatre production of ‘War Horse’ which was stunning.
We also watched Wicked in the West End which was funny and entertaining. Students also visited the Tate Modern, The Victorian & Albert Museum, The National History Museum, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, St Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben and many more destinations
as well as eating at the fab Hard Rock Café and Pizza Hut. We are looking to returning next year
