First of all, can I share a huge thankyou to our staff, students and parents for their continued support and positivity throughout these uncertain times.

It is with great sadness that I am in a position where I need to report that from Monday 23rd March 2020, and the foreseeable future, Bridlington School will remain closed.

All learning has now been moved online. This can currently be found in the notice board section of Show my Homework. Teachers are working hard to get lessons online so students can follow their normal timetable after Easter. Here students can continue to post work to their teachers.

14-forty’s Catering Team will continue to produce free school meal grab bags for students (thank you 14-fourty) these will be available for collection if you are not self-isolating from 12 noon until 12.30pm at the entrance to the Drama block each day.

May I take this opportunity to personally thank the parents / carers who have replied to my social media / text call on Thursday 19th March. It is clear that everyone shares the same view as the Senior Team and I – children learning from home is absolutely the safest option at the present time. This position has also been made clear in yesterday’s Government guidance.

This is a fast changing and uncertain time and whilst none of us know all the answers we can support each other as we do so well as a Bridlington School family. If you have any queries or concerns please email me at or post to your preferred social media channel.

Final note to our students – Please keep your social distance from each other in order to keep yourself and those you love safe.
