Top Of The Bench Competition

Four pupils from Bridlington School represented Bridlington very well at the Royal Society of Chemistry’s recent “Top of the Bench” competition, hosted on the evening of Wednesday 12th November at the University of Hull.

Jessica Riley (year 11, not pictured), Euan Macklin (year 10), Joey Raybould and Sam Downsworth (both year 9) were presented with a written paper, one per year group, followed by a series of table top chemistry challenges. Having travelled further than any of the large number of other schools from Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire to be there, the pupils managed to finish in an extremely creditable sixth place, narrowly missing out on the top three places by a few points.
