Top turnout for Languages Club

This week our students have been immersing themselves in German culture as they made Lebkuchenherzen, a traditional German biscuit. Often found at German Christmas markets, the tasty treat is a staple for any German celebration.

Our students decorated Gingerbread biscuits with their own messages as an ode to the classic German hallmark.

The languages club helps our students to celebrate and learn about different cultures, whilst giving them the opportunity to practice what they’ve learnt in class. Studying languages gives students valuable talents that are applicable to almost everything they do; communication, creativity and analytical skills to name a few.

After learning about the culture and history of German markets, the students are keen to experience the sights and smells of the popular tradition - we’ll have to put in a request for a school trip!
