Year 10 History Coursework Trip to Scarborough Castle
Bridlington School Y10 History students visited Scarborough Castle to prepare for their coursework. They spent the morning exploring the buildings’ changing history.
The students saw how the Romans had built a tower to watch for Anglo-Saxon invasion and how King John, famous for the Magna Carta had developed the castle.
They were able to explain how the keep had been shaped, right through to the English Civil War, so important in establishing the importance of parliament.
