York Geography Field Trip
Mr Stark and Mr Ullyott took their Year 11 GCSE geographers on a field trip to the city of York.
The geography students spent the day collecting data and information relating to the central business district of York. Students completed questionnaires by questioning members of the public. This gave the students the opportunity to improve their self -confidence and develop their interpersonal skills, they were polite, friendly and very confident (despite some initial nerves when planning this activity).
The data and information collected will now be used by the students to prepare for a controlled assessment which will contribute to part of their GCSE Geography grade.
The students’ efforts were outstanding. They were great ambassadors for the school and should be extremely proud of themselves.
The trip was well supported by Miss Beaumont and Mr Garland-Collins who helped to ensure the day ran extremely smoothly.
Well done Year 11 – your efforts really will pay off when completing your controlled assessments!
