Cover Supervisor
£20,547 actual salary*
Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday, term-time plus 5 training days (195 days)
(We may be able to offer reduced hours of 8.15am – 3.15pm if required)
Permanent Contract.
Due to internal promotions and job changes, we have an exciting vacancy within our team. Cover Supervisors play a vital role supervising classes in the absence of subject teachers; you will need to be able to adapt and be flexible in your way of working as no two days are the same.
It is important that you have experience of working with young people and are adept in behaviour management.
The Role
The primary focus of this role is the supervision of classes in the absence of their timetabled subject teacher. You will also:
- Undertake duties
- Support school tutoring programmes during extra-curricular time
- Have the opportunity to support tutor groups
- Have the opportunity to support extra-curricular visits and groups
We can offer You
You will have the opportunity to develop your classroom management practice, either as someone looking to step into teaching or with an interest in other areas of Education. This is a great role to see lots of different subjects and classroom dynamics. Some of our Cover Supervisors have a long and successful career in this area, whilst some choose to step into teaching and specialise in one subject area. Whatever your own preference is, you will have access to a host of CPD and training opportunities both internal and external with the option to take on additional responsibilities.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in classroom management
- Good supervisory skills
- Ability to follow procedures

The salary will vary slightly due to term time adjustments and your own annual leave allowance.
