Weekly Social Media Roundup – December 2022 (Week 4)
Another fantastic week for our students at Bridlington School! Here’s our Weekly Roundup for students and parents who may have missed our updates throughout the week across social media.
SSE Dogger Bank Project
Year 9 had a presentation from SSE plc on their Dogger Bank project recently.
It’s 80 miles off the coast of Bridlington and is the largest offshore wind farm in the world with 272 of the world’s largest turbines.
The cables come onshore at Ulrome near Bridlington before feeding in to the new converter station near Beverley.
Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition
Year 10 student Ethan Jones is the winner of this year’s Mayor’s Christmas Card competition.
The winning Christmas card will be sent to all the Mayors of East Riding and to the King.
Ethan has also won a £50 Argos voucher and a family ticket to the pantomime at Bridlington Spa.
Well done Ethan!
Christmas Carol Service
Our students enjoyed an incredible carol service before we broke off for the Christmas break last week.
Bridlington Christmas Trail Eco Entry
We are really proud of the effort that went into our entry to the Bridlington Christmas Trail by our fabulous Eco Club students, using lots of single use plastic bottle tops.
Big thank you to Mr Drew for leading this project!
